Whew!

Sooo.....after months of finding the right paper, 8 etsy orders of buttons, 3 reprints on the craft paper - only to find out we needed a "foil stamp" method from another printing company, 1 reprint on the main invitation due to a wrong pantone color, about 10 address mix ups, tracking down the only post office in kansas city that carried that brand new monarch butterfly 64 cent stamp so I wouldn't have to have a cartoon dolphin stamp, figuring out how to close the envelopes, and finally, tying them all together with twine - a job that took eight hours to complete 150 invitations, etc. etc. etc......THE WEDDING INVITATIONS ARE IN THE MAIL!! :)

I did want to write this post to warn you all, however, that the RSVP cards are terrible. The ink is the wrong color, the font size is wrong, and the size of the RSVP card itself is wrong. It was just too late to fix, after they'd already been stamped. So please, just fill it out and get rid of it so you don't have to look at it!! :) Hahaha...I'm sure that was unnecessary, but you know me, I am a tad particular.

So yay! I can't wait to start getting them back and get this par-tay started!

working woman

all alone in the office today....
"what?" ..... you ask...."molly has a JOB?"
yes sireee...Molly McCue, law clerk extraordinaire at the Law Offices of Angela L. Williams, an immigration attorney in KC, MO.
se habla espanol. (i can't figure out how to put the tilde above the n)

anyways, Angie, my boss is at court all day today and I'm holding down the fort. trying to remember to take deep breaths and remember that I don't have to talk as fast in Spanish back to them as they are speaking to me. I am struggling a bit, but with my trusty spanish dictionary that I've had since 7th grade, I'm making it through the day.

I just hope the whole Hispanic community isn't discussing the new moron answering phones down at the help me stay in the country office.

On another note : Who's ready to get LOST tonight??!!

almost a 3L!!!

in four and a half hours i will be done with my second year of law school. hallelujah. my take-away from the semester:

products liability - if you're hurt by a product, sue. you might win.

evidence - if it sounds funny, object. if it's hearsay, there's probably an exception.

gender and justice - feminism should not be a dirty word. this country has an astonishing domestic violence problem.

estates and trusts - make a will. if you die intestate, the state will probably dispose of your property in a way you wouldn't have opted for.

appellate advocacy - good god. uhhhh --- this is probably another blog post.
